How the tool works

How the interactive tool works

The internet helps us learn, play and connect with each other. But despite these benefits, we need to do more to tackle online hate. One way to do this is to learn more about what online hate is, how to recognise it and how to stop it.

With this interactive tool, you can do just that!

Choose an age level to play

Each interactive quiz has 10 age-specific questions. Select the option that best suits you or your child’s age  to have meaningful discussions. For the best experience, give yourself between 15 – 30 minutes to play.

Play on your own

On your own, answer the questions with what you know. Then, review the answers and learn a little more about the topic. Before you go onto the next question, take some time to reflect on your own experiences.

Play against someone

With someone else, choose your avatars and take turns answering each question. After you both answer the question, see how well you did and review the right answers. Pause after each question to learn a little more and to chat through the discussion questions.

Get your guide

At the end of each game, find downloadable guides with information and advice to help you tackle online hate.
